Tucked behind the famous Dunalley Bakery is the Endless Waves Hairdressing salon.

Operated out of a converted room in Sharee’s house, the fully equipped salon provides a great stage for Sharee’s hairdressing talents and has the warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like you could chat and laugh the whole day away.

Sharee has been working as a hairdresser for over 20 years. She started her business in the late 1990s and initially ran it from a rental property nearby. But when she hit a rough patch, Sharee found herself paying rent on a space she wasn’t using.

That’s where her No Interest Micro-Business Loan came in. Sharee borrowed $3000 and converted an extra room in her home into a fully professional salon space complete with separate entrance and freshly made cappucino.

“I didn’t have a lot of options,” Sharee said. “I knew my business was successful but ended up in a bit of a hole and could easily have closed my doors. “Instead, Business East suggested I apply for a Micro-Business loan and now business is booming again.”

And the move to her home has had added benefits with her children ‘more settled’ and no doubt enjoying having their mum close to home.

Along with her talent as a hairdresser, Sharee has a talent for customer service, providing mobile services to her customers, some who have been coming to her for 15 years.
